People Of Hebden Bridge Plant 230 Trees In Rainforest!
Four weeks ago, Cooltribe the new social networking site and information portal aimed at connecting like minded people who want to care for the environment and lead a greener lifestyle attended the Big Green Weekend in Hebden Bridge!
Cooltribe was very well received by the people of Hebden Bridge and an astonishing 230 people signed up to the site. “Thank you so much for coming we hope to see Cooltribe again next year” says event organizer, Stephen Morris.
Cooltribe promises that for each member that joins the community, Cooltribe will plant one tree in the rainforest on their behalf to counteract illegal logging and deforestation.
As a result, 230 trees will be planted on behalf of the people of Hebden Bridge, it is estimated that the cumulative amount of CO2 captured by the trees in their lifetime will be 460 tonnes (the average yearly CO2 emission per person in the United Kingdom is 7 tonnes).
However, if you missed the event Cooltribe wants to let you know you don’t have to wait until next year!
Simply sign up today on www.cooltribe.com and Cooltribe will plant a tree on your behalf in the rainforest. Once more to prove that a tree has been planted Cooltribe and its tree planting partner Carbonica will provide each member with a certificate of planting. The certificate will contain the type of tree, the amount of CO2 the tree will absorb in its lifetime and the GPS location of the tree.
