Free Films To Brighten Up Summer
The heatwave may not be here yet, but Calderdale’s family film festival has arrived to make sure the summer holidays aren’t a washout. Central Library in Northgate, Halifax is hosting the festival with FREE screenings for all ages and tastes.
There will be films in the daytime and evenings, from family Box Office favorites to foreign movies and festival award-winners.
Highlights include Night at the Museum, this Friday 31 July at 11am, followed by Manga week with Japanese films starting on Monday 3 August.
Wallace and Gromit, a Sex and the City dress-up screening and Madagascar are all to come in August, and the month is rounded off with a selection of Chinese films during ‘kung fu week’, from 17 to 22.
The full programme is available online at www.calderdale.gov.uk, or by contacting Anna Turner: anna.turner@calderdale.gov.uk, phone 01422 392606.
