High School Aims For Self Sufficiency
Calderdale Councillors will next week consider proposals which could help Todmorden High School become more self-sufficient. Staff and students want to develop a fish farm and associated growing plots on land behind the school.
Lapland Coming To Town This December
The real Lapland will be brought to Halifax this December with a visit from Arctic traveller and writer Sara Wheeler. ‘Notes from the Arctic Circle’ is at Central Library on Thursday 3 December at 7.30pm.
Rock School Re-opens
Hebden Bridge Rock School has re-opened and is recruiting new members. The school needs beginners and experienced musicians and vocalists. The school, run by Calderdale Council’s Music Service and Young People’s Service, offers expert tuition to 13 to 19 year olds who want to play modern music.

Skaters from Hebden Bridge have been on a trip to Scotland as part of their ongoing project to extend the skate park in Calder Holmes Park.
