HX7 Jazz Club Presents Asaf Sirkis
“Since arriving in London from Israel at the end of the end of the 90s, Asaf Sirkis has earned a reputation as one of the world’s premier drummers” – All About Jazz.
Asaf has had a long musical collaboration with Gilad Atzmon, with whom he formed the Orient House Ensemble. He also works regularly with Tim Garland and Larry Coryell.
His trio, with whom he recorded the well-received album The Monk, features Greek guitarist Tassos Spiliotopoulos, “a six-string shredder clearly influenced by Allan Holdsworth and John McLaughlin”, and Israeli bassist Yaron Stavi.
